For millions of years, from the very first humans until very recent times in evolution sense, food has generally been so scarce that our brains have had to develop survival hormones that motivate us to “constantly” desire, crave, and search for, in particular calorie dense sugary foods.

What's currently making things worse is that profit driven big food companies, with their ultra-formulated products, have deliberately and scientifically weaponise these survival instincts, by amplifying that desire to a level of addiction. .

Second, because us humans evolved not knowing when the next meal would arrive, our inbuilt survival system is programmed to deliberately hold on to body fat, which is simply stored energy, doing everything it possibly can to prevent us losing weight.

You see, our bodies evolved for scarcity, not the modern world where we're constantly surrounded by food.

Therefore, being overweight isn't a lack of willpower - it's millions of years of evolution working against us and making matters worse and people even fatter, it's being manipulated by the big food companies.

I lived this personally. Despite jogging daily, counting calories and endless diets, I was obese for 25 years. I built £100 million companies, but even applying the same effort and determination, I didn't lose weight until I understood these 2 mechanisms.
